Hello mindful community! Jackie and Maria here, again with another episode! Thanks for waiting a few days for this one. This month we read and reviewed the book The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. We both agree this is an excellent book. Tolle helps make sense of mindfulness practices and provides a compelling case for trying them in your own life. Have a listen to our review and then read this inspiring book!


Eckhart Tolle – German-born spiritual teacher and self-help author who resides in Canada. He is best known as the author of The Power of Now and A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose.

The Power of Now – A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment.

Rumi – 13th-century Persian poet, Hanafi faqih, Islamic scholar, Maturidi theologian, and Sufi mystic originally from Greater Khorasan in Greater Iran.

Meister Eckhart – was a German theologian, philosopher and mystic, born near Gotha in the Landgraviate of Thuringia (now central Germany) in the Holy Roman Empire.

Sufism – mysticism in Islam, characterized by particular values, ritual practices, doctrines and institutions.
